Who We Are – Some Philosophy At Enhance Sports,
we are not ex-Olympians or former professional athletes (okay, some of
us got real close). What we are is a community of top amateur athletes,
who also happen to be working professionals. Through hard work and
collaboration, we have achieved that fine balance between work, family,
and athletics. We have an undying love for competition (some might call
it an obsession) and realize that in order to effectively balance all
three, training must become part of one's everyday lifestyle. "Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win." "Workouts are like brushing my teeth; I don't think about them, I just do them. The decision has already been made." "If you feel like eating, eat. Let your body tell you what it wants."
Which of the following quotes best describes your approach to training?
- Tom Fleming's Boston Marathon training sign on his wall
- Patti Sue Plumer,
- Joan Benoit Samuelson
We hope your own philosophy fits somewhere in between the second and third quote. I
spent much of my own youth living by the adage that "somewhere in the
world someone is training when you are not and when you race him, he
will win". Perhaps with age comes wisdom, as I now understand the
importance of rest in any training regimen.
Mikael Hanson - Founder and President
Former

ultimate multi-sport junkie, competing in numerous cross-country ski

events each year!)
Mikael works with athletes of all ages and
abilities - from first timers to several nationally ranked athletes to
even a couple World Champions! Mikael
