The Bike Collection....
The Cyfac Gothica - one of the most beautiful bikes I ever owned or rode!
Awesome details on every aspect of this frame and colors that jumped off
the bike! As with all of my bikes, this one was full Campy Record, Ritchey carbon bars, and a massive ITM K-sword stem. A super comfortable ride and tracked like it was on rails. Rode it for a couple years and then it fell victim to a crazy cab driver!
The 2008 Ridley Noah - this is the bike that replaced the Gothica above.
I prefer this model over the 2009 version and once it was built up, I was even more impressed. Nearly a full pound lighter than the Gothica, a nimble climbing machine that also cornered like it was on rails (same as the Gothica). It has an integrated seat mast, a massive triangular shaped down tube, yet the complete bike still comes in around 16lbs (with full Campy and a Stronglight Pulsion crank)! The Cyfac Gothica CLM - the sister TT/Tri bike to the Gothica
road frame. Custom made and while not one of the most aero frames, it was easily one of the more comfortable TT frames I have ever ridden - the true test of a TT bike (how long you can stay in the aero position).
Sold! Thanks to Susanne in FLA!
The HOTTA - This bike replaced the Cyfac CLM as my main ride in 2009 as it had... how do you say a very hi COOL factor! Built for only a few years in the late 90s, this frame was eventually banned by the UCI (too aero!) and they stopped making them!
I found the frame in Chicago and completely re-furbished it from new paint (thanks Hot Tubes) to updated lighter carbon parts! A Zipp 300 crank, Giant carbon bars, Zipp brake levers, retro and very aero Campy Chorus calipers from the 90s, carbon seat post and Fizik saddle. It turns heads at every race I am at!
Like it? Make me an offer as everything has a price!
The Colnago C45 - my fall 2009 project. The frame has been complemented with only the best and most aero from NOS Dura Ace AX calipers to a very rare Colnago/Ronda carbon crank to a NOS and vintage Colnago saddle to very aero Corima 4-spoke carbon wheels with custom Colnago logos!
I love the look, but it too has a price - A special thanks to Robert in Texas who gave this vintage ride a good home!
The 2006 Pinarello Montello as ridden by Fassa Bartolo in the 2006 TdF! This was my spring 2010 project and it turned out quite nice! Campy Chorus through out, custom carbon aero bars complete with Pinarello graphics, and some very sweet deep rim Planet X tublar wheels (82cm front, a massive 101cm deep back). A very fast bike. Size Small.Like it? Frame alone retailed for $10,000 in 2006 as this was the last hand made Montello manufactured in Italy (they are now made in the Far East and no longer by hand). I did not want to sell this bike, but it did find a loyal Pinarello owner!
Thanks Don in Cal and kick some arse on it!
The new 2011 ride will be... an Isaac Joule Aerotic (found a 2008 frame new in the box) with full campagnolo parts,
the new Easton attack aero bars, and a set of perfectly matching Zipp 808 carbon wheels!
